Do I need to go to the court date?
If you hire Kruger Law Firm, PLLC for a traffic ticket you will not need to go to your court date. (In very rare circumstances, you may need to go to the court date for a traffic ticket but we will tell you if that is the case.)
If you are charged with a misdemeanor or felony, you will need to go to the court date. If you cannot go to court on your court date, please let us know in advance as it may be possible to move the court date so you can be present.
If we represent you in a family law case, in many situations you will not need to go to every court date, but we will make sure you know which court dates you need to attend.
I missed court, what do I do?
If you missed your court date, you may already have a Failure to Appear (FTA) or an Order for Arrest (OFA). We can file motions to strike the FTA or OFA and put the case on a new court date for you. Additionally, please contact us immediately if there is an Order for your Arrest, as acting quickly is critical in preventing you being arrested and held in jail.
Do you take cases in my county?
Although Kruger Law Firm, PLLC is based in Salisbury, North Carolina and primarily serves Rowan County, Davidson County, and Davie County, we do accept cases in other nearby counties (Cabarrus County, Stanly County, Iredell County, Forsyth County) in some circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
How do I pay my court costs?
Court costs are paid online after the case is resolved. After we resolve your case, if any court costs are due we will send you an email with instructions and a link to the North Carolina eCourts Payment Portal.
